Degrees Beyond the Bachelor’s Degree

A bachelor’s degree or bachelors degree is an academic degree earned by graduating colleges and universities usually upon completion of an interdisciplinary course làm bằng cao đẳng of study lasting about three to five years. The two most popular bachelor’s degrees are typically the Bachelor of Arts or the Bachelor of Science. Many students opt to earn both a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts so they can take courses for a master’s in science or a doctorate in the arts, respectively. Students need to earn at least a bachelor’s degree before enrolling in graduate school, although graduate programs offer many opportunities for additional advanced degrees such as Ph.D. or a Masters of Science within a specific field of study.

In order to enroll in graduate school, students must first complete their undergraduate degree, which may be in a chosen field with a campus location of one of the accredited post-secondary schools offering this degree. After completing the course work, students must successfully pass the necessary licensing examinations in their state or jurisdiction. After obtaining an advanced degree, a student may then choose to continue on to earn either a master’s degree or a doctoral degree. Master’s degrees often take two to three years of full-time study.
