Electronic mail has been a common method of sending messages between individuals using personal electronic devices. Electronic mail really entered restricted use in the early 1960s, when computers first became widely available. Only users Email1and1 of that computer could send to other users of that same machine. Some systems did support a form of chat, in which sender and recipient had to be on the same PC.

There have been email programs since then, including Microsoft Exchange. Some of these allow the exchange of certain pieces of information through an email message. Others are server-based, meaning that they require access to a particular server in order to send emails. Regardless of whether you use a server or not, there are certain things to consider before sending an email message. First, an email is just a message. Second, an email can only be sent once.

First, consider who you’re sending it to. Only you know the people that you’re sending messages to on email. This means that you should limit the size of your address and subject lines. You may only want to send one message to one person, or you may want to send it to several people. If you only want one message, it’s important to make sure that you only put their name in the subject line. Remember, an email will not return to the sender if the email recipient contacts the sender within the first few seconds of receipt.

Second, you should also consider how long you want your message to be. An email service that offers free delivery has a time limit, which means that if you want your email to arrive quickly, you may have to pay for the faster delivery. This is especially true if you’re sending urgent messages. Free delivery services generally charge a price for this service.

Third, consider the recipients. Some people do not have email addresses that you can send to. If you’re sending an email to people who don’t own email accounts, you’ll probably have to insert a special HTML code in order for them to receive your message. If you’re targeting employees, however, you can usually find email addresses for employees by using a distribution list or a company newsletter. Keep in mind that people with free email accounts may not always have internet access, so you may have to place a graphic or link to another site on their work computer in order for them to open your message. This can be a problem for massages, as they usually need to open email attachments in order to read them.

When composing user responses to other people’s emails, you should not use your real name, your personal email address, or anything that may single out you from the rest of the community. When you compose responses to carbon copy, though, you should put whatever information you want to share with the recipient in bold. If you’re responding to an email with a news story, for example, your name will be obvious to anyone who has read the news. If you’re responding to a personal email, though, you’ll probably want to use your real name. Only include your name if it’s relevant, such as if you’re a teacher and you’re responding to a particular email about teaching tips.
